WORKFORCE

Joint Strategic Director (People)

For both Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils. Up to £86,000 pa. Based in Hadleigh and Needham Market Making Working Together really work.

We are two ambitious Suffolk councils redefining how we work together to fulfil the growing ambitions of our many communities and local people.

Our combined programme of both staff integration and service transformation is at the heart of this process. These two positions - reporting to the Joint Chief Executive - are absolutely key in shaping and driving forward how we go about this.

Both vacancies are vital leadership roles working closely with elected members in both councils and leading a new joint management team of seven corporate Heads of Service with a dynamic brief including a clear focus on partnership working, commissioning and delivering priority outcomes.

So what we are looking for is not for everyone and certainly not for the faint-hearted. But if you think that you have the flair, confidence, skills, drive, ideas and temperament to actively shape our future - please get in touch by going to our website.

Closing date: 5 December 2011. Interview dates: 18 and 19 January 2012.
