Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole councillors' recent unanimous vote to accept proposals for Pay and Reward – our fair and transparent pay structure – marked the end of a six-year journey to complete the council's transformation programme and harmonise pay and conditions for all staff after four councils were brought together to form the new authority in 2019.

This vote was a hugely important milestone for BCP Council. We have now set firm foundations for the organisation. There are no more major decisions to be taken following local government reorganisation (LGR), so I am delighted we have got to this point.
