As local government navigates its way through reorganisation, partnerships like ARP offer a blueprint for the future, says Maxine O'Mahony.

As chief executive of Breckland Council, I am immensely proud to reflect on a partnership that has quietly become one of the strongest assets in our sector – the Anglia Revenues Partnership (ARP).

Formed more than two decades ago, ARP began as an idea for authorities to work together to provide efficient shared council tax and benefits services to residents and local businesses. Today, it stands as a national exemplar of collaboration – proof that shared ambition and focus can drive meaningful change, reduce costs, and improve outcomes.
