Managing Director

Huntingdonshire District Council.

c. £125k package

It's a fragile time for economic growth and supporting and nurturing any green shoots demands attentive and considered care. But with the development of a new Enterprise Zone and the potential of 8,000 new jobs in our district alongside ambitious plans to deliver thousands of new homes we think we can offer the perfect environment for talent to grow and flourish - including yours.

As Managing Director and Head of Paid Service you'll work closely with the Council's political leadership to build on our achievements to date and continue to adapt and respond to the ongoing financial and organisational challenges of local government.

Effective partnership working will be key as you consider new delivery mechanisms and opportunities to pool resources and deliver optimum value for money for residents. You'll advocate strong commercial principles, encouraging creativity and an entrepreneurial approach to income generation.

It's important that you can demonstrate a strong track record in leading improvement and influencing decision makers within and beyond your own organisation, and that you can present clear ideas about the obstacles and opportunities that local authorities face in supporting economic growth.

Visit Huntingdonshire District Council website to find out more or contact Terry McDougall at SOLACE Enterprises on 0845 601 0649.

Closing date: 29 March.
