WORKFORCE

Managing Director

Croydon. As start-ups go, this one's pretty unusual. Last year, a number of social care services joined forces to create the trading company: 'Croydon Care Solutions'. Twelve months down the line, we're 100-people strong, with five Resource Centres and bold ambitions for the future, including the creation of a 'procurement hub' for equipment.

Now we need an experienced MD with the expertise to look beyond the obvious and explore the 'what's next?'. Someone with that rare mix of financial nous, relationship-building skills and entepreneurial flair to deliver our commercially-robust entity.

You'll have the drive to succeed and the freedom to really adapt your expertise and champion your ideas. Certainly skilled in reducing costs, increasing buyer power and scrutinising the viability of assets and contracts, it's your entepreneurial ambition that will set you apart. A visible leader, you'll work in harmony with a range of key stakeholders including senior players from Croydon Council. You'll nurture and complement the skills of the team; you'll listen and respond to service users with care and empathy.

Already you've successfully led an organisation and its people through dynamic change. Perhaps you'll join us from the entepreneurial side of the charity sector, a social enterprise organisation or even the private sector. either way, you'll demonstrate the passion and energy to lead us into the future.

For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Yvonne Skingle, 07817 418039 or Jonathan Swain, 07500 961727 at Penna.

Closing date: 19th April, 2012.
