MBC in talks over plan for 'city-region' chief

Rochdale MBC has confirmed it is talking to authorities in Greater Manchester over a plan to appoint a shared chief executive.

Rochdale MBC has confirmed it is talking to ‘six or seven' authorities in Greater Manchester over a potential plan to appoint a shared chief executive.

A spokesman for the Lancashire-based council said that one of the authorities it had spoken to about a shared chief's role was Oldham MBC.
