Resolving the crisis in local audit is taking longer than expected, the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has admitted.
Deputy director for local accountability and audit, Rosie Seymour, told the Local Government Finance Conference ‘building back has been slower than we would have hoped.'
