Ministers have ordered an external review into Slough BC due to the ‘slow pace of progress' in turning the authority around.

In a letter to commissioners, local government minister Alison McGovern expressed ‘concerns with the pace of change within the council' and added that ‘tentative progress… does not appear to have been sustained'.
