Female foster carers in Portsmouth were recognised by the city council with Mother's Day cards last weekend. The council's head of safeguarding, Stuart Gallimore, said: ‘We wanted to use Mother's Day to thank all our female foster carers for the care and support they give to hundreds of children and young people in need.'
