Salary: £145,000

As our current Chief Executive is retiring, we are looking for an experienced individual who will continue to drive our transformation and budget reduction programmes.

North Somerset is a top performing unitary authority with a reputation for innovation and efficiency. We have successfully transformed our organisation and the delivery of services. We enjoy excellent working relations with our partners both within North Somerset and across the sub-region.

As Head of Paid Service you will lead the Corporate Management Team and drive forward work to further improve the efficiency of the organisation, ensuring that our communities continue to receive good quality, value for money services.

You will also act as ambassador for the council, leading on partnership working and the development of innovative solutions, with fewer resources, to improve outcomes for our residents.

You will be a highly effective team player with strong strategic leadership skills. As an inspirational and visionary leader you will help us build on our success working together inside and outside the council.
