Northamptonshire councils consider joint devolution plan

North and West Northamptonshire Councils will align under a joint devolution proposal should their preferred option of joining a larger South Midlands strategic authority continue to falter.

North and West Northamptonshire Councils will align under a joint devolution proposal should their preferred option of joining a larger South Midlands strategic authority continue to falter.

Both Reform-led councils, which were formed as separate unitary authorities five years ago after Northamptonshire CC was abolished, would like to link up with Bedford, Luton and Milton Keynes councils to former to form a wider regional strategic authority.
