Orkney Islands Council has reportedly been slammed for negligence, in a confidential report into Scotland's most notorious child sex abuse scandal. The confidential report, seen by The Scotsman newspaper, refers to a catalogue of alleged mistakes by the council, after a number of children were snatched from their homes and taken into care in the early 1990s. One of the children, May Willsher, who is now an adult, is demanding £100,000 compensation, after claiming her childhood was destroyed by social services.
