Peers have called for a ‘fundamental reset' around local government reorganisation (LGR) among Devon's councils amid concerns around the impact it is having on partnership working.
A Local Government Association corporate peer challenge team was told by representatives across the county's public, charity and further education sectors of ‘concern around the negative impacts of what is taking place between the councils in Devon in relation to LGR and the need for a constructive approach to be adopted'.
