Communities secretary Eric Pickles has vowed to volunteer in his local charity shop as part of the Jubilee Hour campaign.
Mr Pickles said he would spare at least one hour of his time to a local charity shop to highlight the campaign, under which citizens have been encouraged to donate 60 minutes to a charity to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. ‘Spending 60 minutes to inspire community spirit and highlight voluntary work is the perfect way to mark Her Majesty's 60 years of service,' said Mr Pickles.
