A reorganisation that would split Nottinghamshire into two is becoming increasingly likely, although districts remain reluctant to join with Nottingham City Council.

Rushcliffe BC had been drawing up proposals for three unitaries across the county, with the council joining Newark and Sherwood DC and Gedling BC.
