The voices of rural communities would be ‘severely weakened' by the Government's proposed planning reforms, councils have warned.

In its response to the Government's consultation on the National Planning Policy Framework, the County Councils' Network (CCN) warned the presumption to approve development near train stations and five-year land supply requirements could lead to villages' infrastructure being overwhelmed.
