Regeneration Manager

£42,543 - £45,192 p.a.

Post No: CS0030

It's all about Life Style.

Tendring is a high profile, innovative Council which is prepared to make a difference. Working on national pilots, such as Community Budgets and Families with Complex Needs, we are already showing that we mean business. Excellent relationships with outside organisations and growing partnerships with businesses throughout the world have enabled us to create an environment of growth and development.

Meeting the diverse needs of the people of Tendring, and providing a safe and attractive place to live, is key to our vision for the future – instilling pride in the community, the opportunity to prosper and provide a better visitor experience.

We are looking for a Regeneration professional who will relish the major opportunities (including port growth, tourism and renewable energy) and challenges (pockets of nationally significant deprivation and a coastal economy) in Tendring and lead our regeneration team with enthusiasm, innovation and a "can do" approach.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, you will have responsibility for securing funding for, and delivering, major regeneration projects, economic development and business support, strategic tourism, community development and developing a local workforce with the skills for local employment. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team committed to enabling business and enterprise to thrive and to making the most of the opportunities of our coastal and rural assets.

You will have a track record of success in the regeneration of local economies and communities and of working with a wide range of organisations and partners to achieve positive results. Post No: CS0030

For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Martyn Knappett, Head of Corporate Services, on 01255 686501.

Closing date: 30 March 2012.
