Revenues and Benefits Manager

Flintshire CC Finance Division have undertaken a service review and are seeking a high performing, experienced professional that will bring fresh thinking and energy to develop services and manage changes driven nationally by the Welfare Reform Programme and locally through our ‘Flintshire Futures' modernisation agenda.

Reporting to the Head of Finance as a key member of her senior management team, we are seeking a professionally qualified (IRRV, CIPFA) and experienced revenues & benefits professional to inspire, lead and manage a team of some 90 staff to deliver high quality services to our customers.

You will be taking on this role at a time of new national, regional and local developments drawing upon a broad range of management skills relating to projects, performance, budgeting and collaboration. Leading the changes, you will challenge the ‘status quo', whilst ensuring professional standards and financial regulations are embedded into robust systems.

An excellent people manager, technically experienced and possessing the drive and energy to strategically plan and operationally deliver the service against a back drop of sometime competing local and national demands.
