The leader of Rutland CC has survived a no confidence vote amid concerns over the local authority's stance on reorganisation under her leadership.

At a meeting of the no overall control East Midlands council last night, a motion brought by the Conservative group to oust Lib Dem leader Gale Waller was defeated 14 to eight, with two councillors abstaining.
