A select committee chair has told chancellor Rachel Reeves she is ‘deeply concerned' over possible cuts to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

Florence Eshalomi, chair of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee, said in a letter published today that ‘a generational increase in social and affordable housing investment is required'.
