Shadow council delays permanent boss appointment

West Surrey's shadow authority has pushed back its recruitment of a permanent chief executive.

The authority had aimed to make an appointment by the end of last week but is now not expected to hire someone until early next month after senior shadow councillors decided to abandon the original joint recruitment process with East Surrey's shadow authority.
