Dorset Council may have come into being seven years ago, but the onus remains upon us to transform. The excellent work my predecessors did reorganising the old county and district councils does not preclude the current leadership from continually asking ourselves what constitutes a modern, sustainable unitary council today.
What does modernity look like? You cannot just put a load of technology into an organisation and everything automatically changes. You need to change the way of working and the mindset. You need to be led by data. You need to be relevant.
