There's a back to school feel in the air and it's a time for new notebooks and refreshed intentions. It's a time to focus, but that is a hard thing to do when things are changing all the time. You need to make the change a feature, and not a bug, as you work towards clarity.
One of the reasons I always liked the intention behind mission driven government was the fact that it sets big goals with clear focus, making it easier to break those goals down into manageable chunks of work. The mission language hasn't stuck around but you can get a sense of it in the Rewire the State paper. I welcome it.
