Strategic Director – Adult & Community Services

Up to £117,583

You will be the driving force behind our progress, leading the transformational changes ahead. Your goals will be to improve the health and wellbeing of our citizens; reduce health inequalities; and to develop integrated models of service, based on principles of personalised support, maximum independence, seamless service delivery and value for money.

To succeed, you must understand the importance of introducing intervention and prevention strategies that will improve health and wellbeing, reduce demand and ease the pressure on resources. You should also be enthusiastic about developing partnerships and open to new models of service delivery. This calls for a collaborative approach, as well as extensive experience in delivering Adult & Community or health related outcomes.

A natural ambassador, you will have the communication skills to motivate others with your vision and to win support for new initiatives. If you're also used to working in diverse, urban areas, a strong corporate team player and passionate about enabling people to live as independently for as long as possible, then we'd like to hear from you.

Closing date: 8 April 2013.

Assistant Director – Integration & Transition

Up to £89,238

You will have a critical role to play in creating and implementing major strategic transformations. As a key member of a small and collaborative senior management team, your main task will be to lead the change process, co-ordinating the efforts of the Council, NHS and other key partners.

To successfully establish new ways of working, you'll need to be a strong and capable leader, offering staff support and guidance while building and strengthening our links with all stakeholders involved. You'll insist on excellence and inspire outstanding performance, maintaining a customer-focused approach. For this, you'll need to be an experienced senior manager who is familiar with the adults agenda or have highly transferable skills and quick learning.

Closing date: 23 April 2013.
