Strategic Director – Development

Derry City Council, the second largest local authority in Northern Ireland is looking for a Strategic Director to be part of its team in delivering an exciting future for Derry-Londonderry as it prepares for its once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase its talents and tell its new story during the UK City of Culture 2013.

We need a candidate that will take a leading role in implementing and delivering strategies in tourism, leisure and cultural development in keeping with the city's One Plan, the Corporate Plan and the City of Culture 2013 events programme. We need someone that will deliver real and positive change that will have a lasting legacy for future generations and will bring forward a new and positive future for Derry-Londonderry.

We want a Strategic Director that is passionate about people and about delivering investment and regeneration that will benefit the city and region. We need a person with leadership qualities, entrepreneurial flair and an eye for detail, who will use their excellent management and communication skills to work collectively with key agencies and partners to bring forward a new and positive future for Derry-Londonderry.
