Temporary housing figures hit new high

The number of people living in temporary accommodation has reached a new record level.

The number of people living in temporary accommodation has reached a new record level.

Official statistics published today showed 127,890 households were in temporary housing at the end of December, an increase of 13.6% on the previous year.
