Transforming procurement

With inadequate funding to meet constantly escalating demands on services, it is more important than ever to get the most possible value out of every pound spent. This is particularly the case when it comes to the procurement and management of a council's contracts with third parties. 

The procurement landscape has recently changed for the better with the implementation of the 2023 Procurement Act (PA23) which came into force earlier this year. PA23 gives public sector bodies greater freedom and flexibility over their procurement activity and local government must seek to make the most of this opportunity.
