Cornwall Council leader Cllr John Pollard has called on the leaders of the main political parties to support the county’s drive for greater devolution.
In the letter sent to the leaders of the Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Labour, UKIP and Green parties, Cllr Pollard has set out reasons why Cornwall should receive greater powers and freedoms.
Alongside the letter a revised Case for Cornwall paper setting out the county’s devolution demands in areas of public transport, housing, health and social care, energy and public sector efficiency was also despatched.
