Evolution not decline

With the fantastic news that Great Yarmouth’s bid to the Future High Streets Fund is progressing to the next stage, it felt fitting to dedicate this column to exploring the crucial role of councils in driving town centre regeneration and investment.

While we often hear talk of the decline of traditional high streets, the changes we’re all experiencing are just the latest chapter in the ongoing story of town centre evolution. There are both challenges and opportunities.
