Government doubles down on exit pay cap

The Government has entrenched its position on its exit pay cap, raising the likelihood of a confrontation in the courts.

Local Government minister Luke Hall wrote to council chief executives today to warn they must abide by the new rules limiting exit payments to £95,000 from 4 November.
