Home Office under fresh asylum pressure

The Home Office came under fresh pressure this week to overhaul the mandatory National Transfer Scheme (NTS) for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC).

Kent CC’s judicial review of the NTS at the High Court in London heard Whitehall and councils act like it is discretionary.
