Learning lessons from the Lambeth experience

Lambeth LBC chief executive Andrew Travers is ‘definitely not retiring’. He may be stepping down from the London borough after four years in post, but his vigorous denial suggests a pathological fear of rose trimming.

Being chief executive of the south London borough has, he says, been ‘the biggest challenge of my career…in a good way’ and while he has yet to decide what is next, it will not be a series of interim roles.
