Sunak set to unveil green investment plans

Plans to rebuild the economy with green investment are set to be launched by Chancellor Rishi Sunak in his summer statement tomorrow.

Interim Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey has also unveiled a package of environmental plansduring a Local Government Association’s virtual conference this morning.

Mr Sunak is expected to announce a £3bn package aimed at cutting emissions from public buildings and private homes.
