Assistant Director: Children's Safeguarding

This is an exciting time to be joining us as we are driving intense change and are striving to create a new partnership with local people, businesses and public services in our area. We are determined to deliver this through our Co-operative Council model and make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families.

Reporting to the Council's new Director of Children and Family Services, you will be an integral part of the Council's senior management team and work closely with wider service partners to provide professional leadership and deliver better outcomes for the Borough's children and young people. Your wide-ranging experience of partnership working will be matched by a positive approach to achieving change and leading staff in a complex environment.

You will have a social work qualification enhanced by a strong track record of achievement leading safeguarding and/or children in care services. Above all, you must be passionate about the future for children, young people and their families in Telford and Wrekin.
