Councils have called for more legal powers to share information after a Parliamentary committee on youth employment claimed too many young people have fallen ‘off the radar'.
A Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report out today claims the number of 16-18-year-olds not in education, employment or training (NEET) has improved, but still lags behind other OECD countries.

PAC chair, Margaret Hodge, said: ‘Too many young people simply disappear from all the relevant public systems. 100,000+ young people are off the radar in that some local authorities do not know whether they are participating in education or training or not.
