An overhaul of polling stations to be piloted in May's elections could help ease pressures on election officers if rolled out nationwide, it has been suggested.

Chief executive of the Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA), Peter Stanyon, said the proposals could help ease pressures caused by processing postal votes.
