'End in sight' for Birmingham strike

After more than a year of industrial action, Birmingham City Council’s leader John Cotton has tabled an offer he believes will ‘end the strike once and for all’.

After more than a year of industrial action, Birmingham City Council's leader John Cotton has tabled an offer he believes will ‘end the strike once and for all'.

Bin workers in the city have been on an all-out strike since March 2025, and were later joined by agency staff brought in to provide cover.
