Group Manager (Revenues, Benefits & Fraud)

Fixed term contract for 18 months.

Situated in West Hertfordshire, the Borough of Dacorum is composed of the main towns of Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring. Some of the benefits include: excellent pension, family friendly policies, generous holiday entitlement, relocation package and personal development.

Dacorum Borough Council has been through a period of extensive change to be fit for the numerous challenges ahead. The revenues and benefits sector will be at the forefront of those challenges as pressure falls acutely on local revenues and new national approaches to managing benefits are explored and implemented.

We are now looking for a Group Manager, Revenues, Benefits and Fraud who wants to help us meet those challenges. We are looking for a manager who is: experienced in managing change processes, open to ideas, ready to explore alternative solutions, flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.

We need someone who can make change happen, while maintaining service delivery, whatever the future may bring, and in return we can offer commitment and support, a competitive salary and an excellent opportunity to make a difference at a council that is determined to look forward.

You will have previous experience of managing both revenues and benefits services, a wide knowledge of current best practice and a commitment to exploring new ways of working. Experience of supporting services through change is essential. We seek a confident, committed and talented person who will lead from the front and deliver a high level of performance. If you have the drive, personality and a high level of customer focus to help us achieve our goals, then we look forward to hearing from you.

A check will be undertaken with the criminal records bureau to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.

Closing date for all posts is 25 February 2013. For further details of these posts please visit our website at this link, or call (01442) 228 000 and ask for ‘Recruitment' for an application pack.
