The MJ's first virtual awards takes place tomorrow – and there is still time to register to view.

Winners in 18 categories will be chosen from more than 100 finalists in the ceremony, which will be hosted live in a London production studio by The MJ's editor Heather Jameson and editorial director Michael Burton.

Hundreds of local authority staff have already registered to watch the ceremony, which takes place at 2pm.

It is the first time the awards, normally announced in June at a gala dinner, have been held virtually.

Ms Jameson said: ‘Councils have done a fantastic job this year and we really look forward to announcing the winning teams tomorrow.'

Registration is at awards.themj.co.uk
