North Somerset councillors have backed plans for the council to join the West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

North Somerset councillors have backed plans for the council to join the West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

With WECA currently bringing together Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol City and South Gloucestershire councils under directly elected mayor Helen Godwin, to work on cross council issues such as transport, housing, skills and economic development, North Somerset will now submit a proposal to government to join the body.
