With local elections on the horizon, organisations from across the local government sector have agreed a joint statement on civility in public life for council officers and staff in response to concerns about the abuse council workers are facing while doing their jobs.
The Local Government Association, Solace, and other sector partners agreed a commitment to underline why this matters so deeply for the future of our workforce and our democracy.
