Reorganisation: For councils, 'business as usual' matters as we look to the future

The face of local government is changing across the country, including here in Norfolk where we recently received the minister's local government reorganisation (LGR) decision. This means reorganisation is no longer an abstract prospect, but a lived reality.

What has struck me most in recent months is the way Norfolk's authorities are choosing to respond to the opportunity and challenge of LGR: not retreating into organisational silos, but leaning into one another and placing people firmly at the heart of our decisions.
