I recently spent a valuable few hours in Warwick on the District Councils' Network's children's services masterclass. In the context of reorganisation, it was time well spent. 

Few responsibilities carry greater weight than protecting and supporting our most vulnerable children. Most chief executives of county and unitary councils say children's services are what keeps them awake at night – as they should when as a parent or corporate parent to any child.
