Group Manager (Financial Services)

Up to £62,136 (inclusive of lease car allowance)

Fixed term contract for 18 months.

You will be a dynamic finance professional with sound financial management skills, who can generate new ideas whilst developing and leading a strong, progressive service unit. You will be up to speed with the challenges facing public sector services and accounting.

Group Manager (Revenues, Benefits & Fraud)

Dacorum Borough Council has been through a period of extensive change to be fit for the numerous challenges ahead. The revenues and benefits sector will be at the forefront of those challenges as pressure falls acutely on local revenues and new national approaches to managing benefits are explored and implemented.

We are now looking for a Group Manager, Revenues, Benefits and Fraud who wants to help us meet those challenges. We are looking for a manager who is: experienced in managing change processes, open to ideas, ready to explore alternative solutions, flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.

You will have previous experience of managing both revenues and benefits services, a wide knowledge of current best practice and a commitment to exploring new ways of working. Group Manager – Regulatory Services (Environmental Health)

Up to £56,109 (inclusive of lease car allowance)

The Council is now looking to recruit a talented environmental health manager as a member of the senior management team. Reporting to the Assistant Director (Legal, Democratic & Regulatory Services) you will need to be able to work strategically, as well as have the ability to deliver the day-to-day services to customers in relation to the full range of the Council's environmental health functions.

You will also be required to play a major role in the delivery of the Council's obligations in relation to civil contingencies, business continuity and disaster recovery.

As part of the senior management team you will have a key role to play in supporting the Chief Executive, the Corporate Directors and your other colleagues on the team, in delivering the Council's vision, its key priorities and critical projects. You will act as the principal advisor on environmental health issues to Members and senior management and you will work in collaboration with others to ensure that your services are joined up appropriately and are aligned to the achievement of the Council's aims and objectives.

The Council's environmental health team, which has undergone a major re-structuring in the last 12 months, provides a high profile and valued service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the service into building on the progress already made and take it to the next level. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have the desire and ability to drive through further service improvements and meet challenging service objectives and performance targets.
