Tackling inequalities requires combining the Local Outcomes Framework with deeper insight and lived experience

Local government has a critical role to play in the new Local Outcomes Framework , 'not only in responding to the data, but in interpreting it and framing it within stories about our places', says Jon Rowney.

Next month we expect to see the launch of the online data tool for the new Local Outcomes Framework (LOF), giving the public the ability to explore how places are performing against a shared set of metrics.

The focus on outcomes – and on those that matter most to people – should support a more transparent understanding of quality of life across the country.
