Javid 'minded' to approve reorganisation proposals

Communities secretary Sajid Javid today kick-started a fresh wave of local government reorganisation – announcing he is ‘minded’ to approve new structures in Dorset and Suffolk.

In a written ministerial statement (WMS) on 7 November, Mr Javid revealed he supported proposals to establish two new unitary councils ‘with credible geography’ covering Dorset.
