DISTRICT COUNCILS' NETWORK

Genuinely local government could be lost to regionalism in the name of 'devolution'

Good councillors consider representing our residents to be of paramount importance. This principle applies to our work as ward councillors, cabinet members and council leaders, as well as to the work councils do collectively. Councils belong to bodies like ours because it helps us fight for our communities.

The District Councils' Network's 169 members work together with the aim of bringing about a climate conducive to supporting councils' work on behalf of our residents. We seek to enhance prosperity and wellbeing and overcome hardship and illness.
