More than 100 councils will take part in the Government’s expanded regional children’s care initiative, which ministers hope will help tackle profiteering in the sector.

More than 100 councils will take part in the Government's expanded regional children's care initiative, which ministers hope will help tackle profiteering in the sector. 

The Department for Education (DfE) has announced that five new regional care cooperatives (RCCs) are to be created involving multiple councils working with police and health services to better coordinate commissioning of placements and cut costs.
