Think tank: Reform needed to 'densify' cities

An extra 2.3m more homes are needed in UK cities if councils are to meet the Government’s commitment to boost urban densification, a think tank has warned.

An extra 2.3m more homes are needed in UK cities if councils are to meet the Government's commitment to boost urban densification, a think tank has warned.

The size of this ‘density gap' between UK cities and similar sized urban areas in France and Japan has been highlighted in a report by Centre for Cities.
