The Government is consulting on plans to map out spatial development strategy (SDS) areas across England, to oversee strategic planning around infrastructure and housing and align with devolution boundaries.

Of these 14 are set to cover the same geographic areas as existing devolved areas, including in London, Greater Manchester and the West Midlands.
